Bring on the race season!

As the pre-season activities and training draw to a close, we start to focus on the first few races of the season, and celebrate the early successes of the year. On Feb 2nd, David managed to win his age group in the 2nd annual Stampede for Hope 5K road race, organized by Maulin High School. Jonathan really kicked it into gear at the Feb 9th Green Valley 8K road race, winning his age group, while Jamie won his age group and placed in the top 10 in the Green Valley 10 miler the same day. Chris (G-Man) had a fantastic performance a the Run the Reagan Half Marathon on Feb 16th in Atlanta, with a 4th place overall and 1st place Master. The same weekend in Myrtle Beach, David set a personal record at the Dasani Myrtle Half Marathon, and followed it up with a 3rd place finish in the Michelob Ultra 30 mile bike ride ("What do you mean it's not a race?") the next day.

Our sights and efforts are set on the season-opening Parris Island sprint distance triathlon, March 15th at the Marine Corps training center outside Beaufort, S.C. With the early season performances so far, this promises to be an exciting year for the team and all our supporters!
