Parris Island Sprint: the season opener

The Setup Events web page for this race says "Parris Island starts the South Carolina Triathlon Series season in a big way. Triathletes from all over the nation come to test their early season training at the flat and fast closed course." Indeed, it's a great chance to see where your strengths and weaknesses are to prepare for the meat of the season.

TYB Racing Team showed up in force and looking sharp with newly arrived uniforms. We were told later that heads were turning as we all went out on a pre-race warm up ride, and it felt great to show our colors!
The team had a very strong showing, with Jamie Church placing 4th overall (missing 3rd place by a slim 4 seconds!), Cameron Dorn placing 6th overall, and Stephen Shenal winning his age group. Pete Edge took second place in the Masters division, while Pete Risell, Hal Outen, and David Duchan all went top-ten in their respective age groups.

Great job, and this year is looking good for TYB Racing!
